SURVEILLANCE // AWARENESS

The Color Code: How to Never Be Surprised

Most people live in Condition White: oblivious and vulnerable. This is the framework used by bodyguards and special operators to stay safe without being paranoid.

Condition White: Unaware

You are looking at your phone. You have headphones in. You are completely oblivious to your surroundings. In this state, if an attack happens, your only reaction is panic. Rule: Never be in White in public.

Condition Yellow: Relaxed Alertness

This is where you should live. You are relaxed, but your radar is on. You are not looking for a specific threat, but you are scanning the environment. You know where the exits are. You notice who walks in the door.
"I am aware of my world."

Condition Orange: Specific Alert

Something has caught your attention. A specific potential threat. Your radar locks on. You are formulating a plan: "If he does X, I will do Y."
"I might have to push back today."

Condition Red: Action

The threat has materialized. You are executing the plan you made in Orange. There is no thought, only action.
